Not the best pic but I thought I would start this thread to see if any of you guys have some nice little masterpieces out in the woods to enjoy your hunting day a little more.
This is about 12' or so high and inside dimension are about 4'x6' and tall enough to stand in. All sides have sliding windows that can also be removed for a more airy experience. I also have a small porch I can enjoy as well. Just finishing up the recycled metal siding this year. I just installed a little urinal as well which consists of a funnel attached to pvc pipe that is buried into the ground. I did start to make a small fireplace out of a propane tank but have not completed it yet. I like to be comfy if I'm going to sit in the woods all day.
So lets see what everyone else has and Ill post up some more pics of diff views, inside, etc.

We have similar shooting houses that sit 6 feet high and are 8' square. I will attempt to post a picture on the bragging board.

I like it especially being able to stand up and stretch. Experiment and fine out what works for you on the dimensions. I like to have the bottom of my window high enough that any deer within 50 yards can't see kids head above the rail. Once you get that high if you go 4x6 and sit on one side you can't see anything within 60 yards or so out the window on the other end. I have found that a 4x5 allows one person to see out all windows well and still offers plenty of room for two. That's the thing about making your own you can figure out what works and doesn't and make changes on the next one. I even cut 4' off the legs on my 4x6 to make it a little easier to get small kids in and out of. If you used plywood on the floor you will probably eventually want to cut a piece of carpet to quiet the floor. It helps to remove the carpet or make a way to hang it from the roof at the end of season. It will make your plywood last a lot longer as the carpet stays wet and rots your floor. I have used 5/4 decking boards and they last but get way too heavy if you want to be able to move the stand.

We've got a half-dozen of varying heights and sizes scattered about the area. There are those bad weather days that a person might not be hunting if it weren't for a little shelter, like sub 20 below MN windchills or November rains.

Rod, too.

Short cuts often lead to long recoveries.

That looks like a lot of the houses in Africa!

The floor is all treated 2x6, I figured that would last the longest
I shot this deer at about 30yds from the stand last year

It is nice with the size as a passing by buddy can come up and warm themselves for a bit as I always have a couple extra seats.
Also looking to make a platform below it as well

And to think when us guys gave our treehouses and playboy magazines for sports and gals, some of you would be back at it again, with adult "toys". Be honest, do you only spend time up there during hunts? Or do you spend other away time for yourself? If so, maybe calling it a tree house would be more appropriate ;^)

We don't have anything quite like that but my dad has made what we call windmill blinds although they aren't windmills just homemade tripod like stands with bass boat seats and rails to keep you from falling out when you get too comfortable. One of them has a metal grate that is about 4ft in diameter that also has a bass boat seat in it. He has tucked them into groups of cedar trees with great results.

As for me I don't have anything in the luxury department, while in college I carried a crotch stand in the car and carried it in everytime I hunted.

When my grandpa first started making his latter platforms he was teased about how you could dance on them.
this is a small version of his and the girl in the picture hunted with me in a couple of these comfortably, or as comfortable as a cold windy day in Kansas can be.

Looking at your blind in the picture though I know my dad is still thinking of building one pretty close to it, he just hasn't decided if its worth doing since anyone who uses it will be bowhunting out of it and we have some type of stand to cover our needs for about any situtation that we may run into on the properties we currently hunt.

Very neat blind you have there

I have a semi-truck sleeper cab mounted on a 10' steel pipe frame. It has tinted plexi-glass windows and shooting boards along each window. It's a little rough and takes some getting used to...
Honestly, I use it mostly to take the kids and my crazy old uncle to hunt out of. I'd rather be perched in a tree.
