Seems there are several here that use automatics hunting. What ever it is we would like to see it whether Grizzly, Automag, 1911, Glock, Desert Eagle or ?????

Here is my Glock .460 Rowland

Will always regret not taking this AM out hunting before I sold it for a hunt in Alaska. With the right handload either barrel was extremely accurate....

Got custom wood grips on this one now, but I carry it daily. If I get "super close" during deer season, I'm going to use it to take my buck this year. Springfield TRP .45ACP. Never had a misfeed or malfunction of any kind with it.

Here is a picture of my small game getter. My Ruger MKIII that is as close to a sure thing inside 30 yards as I've ever had. It now has a Leupold scope on top of that base, but I don't have a picture of that...yet.

Here's a couple Baer PII's - one sporting an ion-bonded coating while the other sports a Melonite coating and either one can handle Super loads when called upon to do so.

Hey James,
I actually have that exact colt, shown in the old ad you have there. It was given to me by my father n law when I first received my pistol permit. What a great gun, I love to take it out when I get time, that isn't very often.

Kimber CDP II .45 ACP. I want to try 10mm Target Stainless as soon as I can locate spare magazines.

Hey Charlie,

Looks good. Who did the grip mod? I've always wanted to handle one with grip work.

Charlie,

Most generous offer, but I do not own a glock anymore ;^) I'm a 1911 fan, but I keep thinking a Glock in 10mm might be kinda fun to fiddle with.

Craig

edit: I just lloked the website, very interesting, and the prices do not look unreasonable. When you noted a company doing this I questioned the demand for this service. Looking at the site, duh, competition shooters. Lots of options.

Yes, I thought the price was reasonable and the turn around was less than a week.

That is an outstanding turn around time for any work, much less doing a grip. Impressive.

A semi-auto is not my first choice for hunting but I feel that I have done my fair share hunting with them and therefore will share these photos:

An E-caller brought this black bandit in to land on a nearby tree which was in agreement with my Ruger .22/45.

These ground rats were taken with a since-discontinued Kimber 1911 .17 Mach 2; this photo accompanied one of my articles in Mr. Gary's second beautiful hard copy magazine of Handgun Hunter Magazine, Volume 2, Fall 2005.

This red fox beauty also fell to my Ruger .22/45.

Nor are my favorite varmints immune to my semi-auto Ruger (as in prairie dogs)

Gregg, that is a really nice red fox. I think I remember seeing a silver colored red fox you took several years ago, am I right? Once again, congrats!

Thank you! Franchise and Glenn S.

Glenn: I am surprised (not really)

;\)

that Kimber DC'd it. Probably didn't have enough production capacity to keep it going along with all the other "models of the week."

;\)

Franchise, maybe so; I have posted pics of several.

Best to you both.

Greg that makes me wan't to set up a hand gun for yotes. Nice shooting! We can use rimfires during bow season to yote hunt which just happens to be one of teh best times to get them. LABRAT and I are going this evening with rim fire rifles on a yote eradication-we hope. They are causing a farmer lots of trouble. Last time there I killed 4 in 45 minutes. reflex264
