Many thanks to Darrell for posting photos. Just returned from Wyoming on a late season antelope hunt. Got lucky and took this buck with an MOA in 260 Rem. at 305 yards. Before that hunt I was in Oregon for Columbia whitetail. This unique sub-species can only be found in a couple of regions of Oregon. In northern California I hunted Columbia blacktail and Roosevelt elk. The blacktail was taken on the first morning thanks to ideal weather conditions. I shot the Roosevelt elk with an H-S Precision in .270 WSM using 140 gr. Nosler AB. All hunts were well-organized by Wade Derby of Cross Hair Consulting. The Pacific northwest was a great experience.

Great trophies Mark!

That might be the biggest Columbia whitetail I've ever seen? Tthat's got to be a record book animal - he's a monster.

Congratulations on the successful hunt. I must say that your book is what got me interested in handgun hunting. I had owned a hard copy version of your book that was burned in a house fire. I was able to locate a soft copy locally. I don't know how many times I have read it cover to cover. Thank you

Hello Mark,
Do the fish gill brakes really help? My 45-70's are beating me up. Congratulations, wonderful trophies!!!!

Hi Alcorn, Glad to see you are well. Yes, the side-discharge brakes help considerably. All of my big game hunting single-shots wear them. Hope you continue to have a great season.

Thanks, our Mississippi deer season opens soon. I have 1 whitetail in the record book. Maybe another this year.
