Just got done shooting a Dan Wesson 357 Max that I bought a few years back. Looks like it is going to get the first shot at a deer here in PA for me this year.

I tried out the old standard 20 grains of 4227 and a 180gr Hornady XTP. Resting off the bags at 50 yards, it shot into nice 1" groups. Very hard to complain about that!

Oh yeah! I've been hitting the range the last few weeks putting rounds downrange with my Super Redhawk. I'll be out again this weekend too.

I use the standard load of 24.0 grains of H110 under a 240 grain Hornady XTP in my .44 Magnum.

My Super Redhawk in 480R is going to get the nod this year.
420gr WFNCG over 20gr of H110. Scary kind of accurate, even with open sights.

Hopefully I will be able to whack one opening day.

I wish you gentlemen the best of luck.Pennsylvania seems to offer a great deal to the sportsman. I honestly wished my home state would allow deer hunting with a handgun. They allow inline muzzleloaders and with today's sabot shotgun rounds I don't see a logical reason why not.
