Has anyone used a trigger stick in a tree stand with a handgun? I have a mono pole trigger stick and debated trying it.

I tried it in my summit climber. Not enough room, not to mention its a PITA to keep from dropping it between the slats on the platform

I don't have a trigger stick but I use a bog pod bipod. I have found I use it more than I thought I would and have played around with it a lot to decide when and where I can use it or when it is more of a pita to carry than it is worth. Some tree stands I adjust it so it's feet rest on top of mine and it makes a decent rest. If I have a shooting rail I often adjust it to cradle my wrist while the gun rests on the shooting rail. My climber is a summit 180 so I usually face the tree and use strap on steps as a rest. The cables can also be used for closer stuff. Take it out and experiment with it to see where and when it will benefit you.

I use one and it works well a grated platform. If I'm in my climber i rest it on my foot.

I hunt from a two man ladder stand and use a mono pod from time to time. Rail is to low to use as a rest and pod works well.

I have been using a Wal Mart MonoPod for a few years from a 2 man ladder stand.

First thing to address is the bottom. Get a Rubber Cane Tip and epoxy putty it to the bottom. This keeps it quiet, and big enough in diameter to stay on the expanded metal floor.

While not perfect, it works well enough. Also handy when stalking.

I looked over a Trigger Stick in a store again the other day. They sure are proud of them.

I bought this shooting rail from Cabela's a couple years ago and it works really well.

I have the same product and it works good for long guns. Haven't used it with a handgun yet. It's adjustable up and down the tree and folds up out of the way, but you'll need a bungee with a hook or something to keep it up. Works good with a hang-on stand and probably a ladder stand.

I use a trigger stick in my climber stand. Found a replacement
walker cane end that is about 2.5 inches in diameter on ebay.
The end is like an upside down mushroom except flat. It keeps
it from going thru the slats on climber base and is flexes some
allowing you to move with target needs but stiffer than ball socket on trigger stick factory wide foot end. The wider end allows me to rest it on the stand,my foot , or the rail of the seat part of climber for an upward shot when hunting in bottom of a draw.
Has a loop that goes on your wrist that keeps it from dropping out of the stand.
