I'll be hunting whitetails with my 460 this year and I was wondering what kind of gloves you guys recommend for cold weather hunting that won't be too cumbersome. Thanks

I use a Mens leather dress glove that is thinsulate lined that I buy from Men's Warehouse. If you get them right after Christmas they are cheap...

I use thin unlined leather shooting gloves. Shotgunner gloves Or mil surplus desert tactical gloves with leather palm and a fabric back.

Well, I'm in N. Georgia, so it isn't bitter cold, but you do need gloves often. I'm a righty, I hold the gun in my gloved left hand, under the trigger guard, and also hold a finger of the right glove with my left hand. I can easily pull my hand out of the right glove to shoot. I use a pair of those heavy leather/cloth work gloves that have smooth leather outside, and thinsulate inside. I use them only for hunting, never wood cutting or other rough stuff.

I too prefer a lighter leather glove. I have found that a mens winter golf glove works very well for providing grip while not being cumbersome. The disadvantage is that is is not terribly warm. To counteract that I have taken to using a muff in the last couple of years. It allows me to keep both hands warm but maintain the dexterity of using thin gloves. Throw a handwarmer packet or two into it and it is more than up to the task of keeping feeling in your fingers, even on the coldest of late season days.

I also use a muff in very cold weather. It is much better than pockets. Especially when sitting.

A synthetic liner glove with a wool fingerless outer glove works pretty good for me. I have several different weights of "liner" gloves, depending on conditions.

I hunt in Illinois where winter are bitterly cold. I don't wear gloves after I'm on stand. Just a muff(with a chemical heat source)and shoot bare handed when I see game.

I've always used a good pair of batting gloves, but they are getting pretty wore out. Saw some receivers gloves that I might try next. They are real grippy.

As always, Consistency is Paramount. C-O-N-S-I-S-T-E-N-C-Y.

You will not go wrong if your revolver/load combo is accurate; this is a FACT.

I use Browning shooting gloves; they are very thin (leather?)and I cut off the last inch or so of the trigger finger as I need skin against the trigger to feel right for me.

A lined leather glove inside a split palm wool mitten with a heat pack at the fingers inside the mitten. This is the best combo I`ve found for a Pennsylvania deer stand and anywhere else.
One heat pack will cover the morning and another will take care of the afternoon...

I use a fingerless mitten glove has fingerless glove that has a mitten that flips back exposing fingers for shooting. They also have a pocket for hand warmers in the mitten part.has rubber grips in in the palm. Sewn in the mitten is rare earth magnets that holds the mitten back out of the way when you flip them back. Think I picked them up at dicks sporting goods. If its super cold I use a muff with hand warmers.

I use the Browning shooting gloves; very thin and good dexterity. If it's bitter cold, I put my hands in my pockets.
