Ok so I stopped at my local gun shop, shhhhh dont tell the warden.., and he had a like new single six 22/22 mag. It was a 1976 centennial stainless with both cylinders. Had a little drag mark on the cylinder a small ding on the grip. Honestly doesnt look like it was fired. Papers and an original box. He is asking $350. Is this a good price? What should I look for as far as matching numbers on the cylander. Is there an after market front sight that is plug and play fiber optics like whats on the single ten?

Ok so I talked it over with the warden and she gave me the whatever speech wich means yes just stop talking about it all ready..and I stopped at the shop arm wrestled him to a better price. Closer inspection shows the mag cylander had been shot . But still pretty clean. Got him down another fifty. Then he took 8.5% back for the tyrant in Albany. I will have to pick it up next week as the sheriff's office is closed for the holiday.

Kind of neat side note in the box I found the manual and warranty card , an advertisment for holsters, the box for the spair cylinder , and the original bill of sale. The shop that it was bought from was one I frequented with my gramps while growing up. I remember like it was yesterday the feeling of loss when I found the shopkeeper had passed and his family had to close it up.That was 27 years ago. The gun sold new for $138.00 including tax.
