Got this on Friday AM. Weather had been terrible....hot (high 50's, even low 60's) and nothing was moving. The first day we had any type of PA deer season weather was Friday and EVERYTHING was on the move. 100yds w/ the Competitor .308W, H4895, 125gr NBT and Burris 3-12x.

Dan, nice deer. You can have some of this weather here that has been in the teen's for about a week.
I'm going out this afternoon, last day of firearm season for a buck or doe.
Not sure what handgun I'm taking.

Did you ever get that stock repaired with that kit I sent to you?

Mike

Yes! I was just thinking about you the other day when I was getting ready for the start of hunting season. I saw that repair kit in my cabinet and thought "Holy CRAP....I need to send that back to Mike!!" Things got goofy after I fixed that stock.....hurt my back then broke my leg. PM me your address and I'll get that in the mail this week.

BTW...........good luck today.

It's hard to leave it at home. I love that gun! Though I start doe hunting tomorrow and want to give some others a try. I may even go back to my first love....a simple NEF .30-30 rifle that was my first gun. I've not killed a deer with it in 25yrs and I think it's time to get it back out just for kicks.

Nice! I've been hunting hard and not seeing anything in the NE part of the state. Very few shots, no movement, etc. Every year it seems to get worse and worse.

Same here. The first day I heard maayybeeee four shots w/in a quarter mile in any direction. The deer are around but no one is moving them like in the past. I'm going to start gun hunting like I used to archery hunt.

Dan, If your Pennsylvania buck is any indication of how F&W are maintaining their game, I would have to say they are doing OK because took an excellent whitetail.....
