Has anyone tried the Barnes Tipped TSX bullet? I was thinking of trying some of the 180grs in my 358 JDJ.

Tried and used them since they've been available. Used the 7mms, 30s, and 35s, in my 7mm Int-R, 7x57, 30-30, 308, 358 JDJ, 358 WCF, and 358 Rem Mag. Every animal has been one shot, one kill, ALL bullets passed through and could not be recovered. No animal went more than 10 yds. from the strike sight.

Thanks Doc! Did they shoot well in your 358JDJ? What powder did/do you use?

Shoot great, use Accurate 2520 powder.

My daughter drilled an oryx with a tipped barnes in 243 right through the shoulder and it passed right thru the other side. It died in 40 yards. Ive seen fails on oryx shoulders with much larger calibers and lesser bullets. Imho theyre the best killers out and penetrate waaay better than their grain wt would indicate

I use Barnes in my muzzle loader and will never change that.
