If you do I would love to see them. Reading the post about new handgunners taking their first critter this year is great. Here is my first handgun deer.

And my son ( LABRAT ) with his first handgun deer.

My first was a buck taken with a 460S&W at about 100 yards or so. Easiest tracking job I ever had!

simple doe. I hang all my trophies in the freezer, not the wall. Good ol' s/w 29 .44m. My first handgun, my favorite hand gun still. The gun I used on my only (so far) deer this year too. Just a fine shooting gun.
The first deer I ever fired on I fired on 5 times with that gun, to no effect. I made every nubbe mistake. She climbed the tree and dope slapped me, and I still couldn't hit her. She got done, ran to the tree line and pulled a full profile and stopped to give me one last miss. She was considerate that way.
My first deer was with the .44, but thru a Winchester '94. Everything since then has been handgun, mostly the smith. I just have no interest to hunt with a long gun.

I don't have any pictures because I haven't taken anything with my handgun yet.

Maybe I'll get lucky this weekend. All I ask for is a doe to walk out 50 yards away.

Anyway, awesome pictures, guys.

I use to keep a photo album years ago but be honest since every thing hhas gone digital I dont print pics most of the time I dont even take pics... might have to make it a new years resolution to carry a camera in the daypack. Kind of wishing I had one this year for my first handgun kills.

I don't have a pic of my first handgun kill, but I have my first pic of a handgun kill....

This was in '93; back before the good ole cell phones/cameras. I think I had killed 17 whitetails with a handgun prior to this photo. My first was with a Ruger Blackhawk in 45 colt shoot'n a 185gr sierra HP over a max charge of 2400 and topped with a 2X Tasco scope. The pistol featured in this photo is a T/C Contender with a 14" 30/30 win barrel and 2x Tasco. I was shoot'n 150gr NBT's over a max charge of W748. I used that same combo for several years to take multiple whitetails.

It takes 43 muscles to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger squeeze.
