Sorry for all ?'s guy's but that's why I joined the forum because of all the experience here. Now to the ? Has anyone had any experience with their ammo? I've read other places that there velocities are exaggerated somewhat. I don't have a chrono so no real way to check them. I guess if they're accurate and do the job when they get there, it's not that big of a deal. You know what they say a deer doesn't care how fast you miss it. Thanks in advance.

I have used many different claibers/loads from Double Tap over the years and have found it to be excellent. The loads I have chronographed have delivered on the claims in most cases. In fact I shot some of the 320 grain .44 Mag loads this morning and was happy with the accuracy. I have killed a bunch of game using their ammo.

Thanks Whitworth. I just received a box of 240gr. soft points. Looking forward to trying them out when the weather improves. Thanks again.

For what its worth I also found them to be right on as far as their claims. I have shot their 300gr 45 colt +p loads out of my scoped Ruger Super Blackhawk Hunter. Havent killed a deer yet but it does a number on raccoons...

I'd say that's pretty potent coon medicine for sure!

They make quality stuff. They are right there with Buffalo Bore, Grizzly and Underwood. I find underwood a bit less expensive though.

For the cost of a couple of boxes of "custom" ammo you could be well on your way to rollin your own. That said, they do what they do well.

Rod, too.

Short cuts often lead to long recoveries.

I agree with loading your own ammo. Shot last night with my load which equaled the premium stuff. Bought some as I couldn't find any good 45 colt brass.
