Hi all, I haven't posted in awhile but I read daily. Has any one used the Burris 2X7? I just purchased a 15" Encore 209X50 with one mounted on it on gunbroker. I plan to use the scope on my 7mm TC/U. I am hoping it has a wider field of view than the Elite 3200 on it now. Really hadn't planned on the 209X50, in fact I was looking at 7-30 Waters barrels and stumbled on it but at 550 and no bids I figured I had to try. I have 3 PP for Colorado so I should draw a bull tag this year for my area in muzzleloader season, I just may use this.

I just thought to look see if the Encore pistol is legal in Co. for muzzleloader season, I could not find my answer on their web site. Any experience here?

I have a 2-7. its a nice scope with good glass and wide field of view. the eye relief does get shorter when the scope is turned up to about 5-7x

I have one on my 376 Steyr & it is a great scope. Your field of view is better/wider with the Burris as opposed to the Bushnell Elite.

I haven't been to Colorado in the last 5 or 6 years. If I remember right no scopes, loose powder, and no sabots. I have both scopes you mentioned, the Busnell on a 14" 30-30 and the Burris on a 14" 6.5mm and I like them both. I believe the Burris has more field of view and is less critical with having your head exactly in line with the scope. If I had to pick one I would go with the Burris.

Thanks for the replies. I'll have to wait a few days to try it out.

I have both scopes on two 375 jdj barrels. I bought the bushnell elite scope because the Burris would not fit on full rib SSK barrel. I was amazed how much smaller the field was with the Bushnell. I looked online and found the Burris scope field of view at 100 yards is 20 feet and the Bushnell is 10 feet. I love my Burris scopes but it will not fit on contender barrels with full rib. But that Bushnell looks mighty good bolted down to that stainless barrel with TSOB mounts.

Unfortunately no handguns in Colorado muzzleloader season. They can be used in rifle season though.

Thanks Ellis, I have a 209X50 rifle I have taken five elk with. I was not sure of the regulations on the hand gun muzzle loader. I guess it does say Rifle. I will still apply for the muzzleloader tag as I like to hunt that season.
