I was looking for a TC Encore 475 Linebaugh barrel and found some guys saying the chamber on the 480 barrels were long enough to shoot the 475 in. I found some 475 custom barrels so pressure shouldn't be an issue. Has anyone tried this?

The 480 can be fired in the 475 Linebaugh barrels.

Yeah but these guys were saying the chamber on the 480 barrels are long enough to shoot the longer 475 in.

How long would it be required to be? I have a digital caliper I could measure mine. Or if I get it together tomorrow I'll measure it and post it. I think the .480 will go within 100 or 150 fps with most powders. Not sure about the pressures off the top of my head.

1.400"

Rod, too.

Short cuts often lead to long recoveries.

1.35 is what I'm getting but it could be due to a dirty barrel.
