Just an observation but, it seems to me that this Ruger 45 colt has less changes or modifications done to it than any other revolver.

I have one as well. Aside from the trigger and grips it is stock. Nothing else needed.

Mine is a bit "warmed over" and it is one of my favorites.

They are 'gooduns'! Just added grips and redesigned the frount sight.
It's not the gun, but the man behind it.

Nice guns guys. Whitworth, who did your grip and how does it handle compared to Huntington's grip extention of standard grip blackhawks?

Nice guns guys. Whitworth, who did your grip and how does it handle compared to Huntington's grip extention of standard grip blackhawks? Huntington did the grips and the grip frame mods (he gives you more clearance for your middle knuckle) on it. I actually prefer the modified plow handle to the Bisley. It's similar but even easier to shoot.

Mine is the same as jamesfromjersey and has a bent trigger spring. I have a bad picture of mine at the bragging board but that's as far as I got it.

I had 3 and foolishly sent them all to Wyoming.
They're to return with some minor tuning.
One will still be a 45 Colt.
I do miss them....

Beautiful grips, LABRAT!! Thanks, Whit. When John showed me he scales he was going to use for y gun, my heart skipped a beat. It is easily the most shootable revolver in my safe, alongside my Seville.

Wonderful revolvers. I also have one but never shot it yet. I'm still collecting reloading components.

I've owned three and still have one, they're very good revolvers especially with the extra .45 ACP cylinder.

Whitworth, is that a custom barrel? The front sights look different. I have some Bowen Target sights on order for mine and a blank front sight that I am going to try to do in the Patridge style.

I forgot to mention in my earlier post... mine has a Belt Mountain cylinder pin. Takes out a tiny amount of play. Next I'll install a free spin pawl. Perhaps a Bowen rear sight as well.

Hi Mike. It's an FA 83 barrel. The sight base is custom but the blade is an FA blade. I am sending it in for a few more tweaks pretty soon.
