I haven't seen that in years. From what most said it wasn't worth reading. There are a couple guys on here that can answer most any question you might have

dvan,

Welcome to HH! Don't listen to Ernie, he can't shoot much past 1000 yards with his pistols. So, he probably can't help much.

dvan, I have a new book, Long-Range Pistol Handbook by Ron Sabo. I purchased two of them a few years back on this site.
How about $35 shipped. If you want it, pm me or e-mail me. My info is in my profile.
I was doing a search on them a few weeks back and couldn't find any place that had them. I didn't call the publisher.

Mike

Do you have specific questions about cartridges/distances/rear or center-grip/optics/barrel length/etc..?

Yes, I'm looking for a few specifics. I have invented a new wildcate, the 17X50BMG. For a 12" barrel, could you tell me a good starting load of say 296, or maybe bullseye, to start with?

Anticipated range is just over 17000 yards with my naval spotting scope mounted on the carriage with the wheels folded up.

Thanks,

Joe Cool

Rod, too.

Short cuts often lead to long recoveries.

Might wanna back it off half a grain for a starting load & work up... Just to make sure it's safe in your gun.

Should work well at the Cold Turkey shoot. Also you might want a longer tube on your powder measure or just adapt a fitting to take an 8 pound jug.
