Still looking for a shoulder holster/chest rig for a S&W 500 with 10.5" barrel and scope.
Anybody out there??

Yes I do make my holster for the big X-frames....just not the scopes.... You guys don't need no stinking scopes!!! lol
I personally watched Whit shoot a 8" diamond plate at 100yards, over and over again...with stock irons on a 3 3/4" 44mag Lipsey. Off his knee!!

I can do that... Except for the hundred yard part... And the iron sights... And maybe a 12" plate...

Did you try Diamond D Leather in Alaska? I have one of their "Guide's Choice" chest rigs for my S&W 44 mag Stealth Hunter, and I can't imagine a better holster for a big gun like that.

Michael,
I just purchased a DD holster, and when I checked the website it said no scope or custom work. I would still contact to be 100%. I never asked.
I run a small scope on my FA 454 at times, as well as a red dot, and was able to cut my holster to accomodate my base. The scope is not covered by leather, but I did not need that.
And I agree, the Guide's Choice is a very nice rig.

I have got a Wyoming Combination Holster from Ringler Custom Leather http://ringlercustomleather.com/ I really like mine for my FA with a 1.5-4 burris on it. although it may be a bit combersome with a 10.5 X-frame w/scope, but I don't know that you can avoid that with any holster and that gun. Check them out anyways, like I said I am very pleased with mine. It is like 3 holsters in one
