I know in the past, members have posted questions asking where to get these and if they were still available. Well, I ran across this site ( One Hole Sight ) and thought I'd post it for those still inquiring.
It takes 43 muscles to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger squeeze.

Six shot over on the ruger forum has an excellent version of that also.

Six shot over on the ruger forum has an excellent version of that also. Indeed he does, and he also came out with his own fiber optic front sight for some models.
Rod, too.

Sixshots sights "Excellent?? " NOT so much,,,,they are heavy duty, well made, and nicely priced. But it ends there. Not good for much if they fall out!!
I own 2 and they are incomplete, the little sights are missing the retainer spur, so all you have to do is pull up on the sights and they pop right out...nothing holding them in
I have always been going to try and add the retainer spur with a cold chisel...but just haven't done it yet.
But that being said...Dicks sights are extremely heavy duty and I think I paid $20 for 2 sights SHIPPED!.. Just need to figure a way to add the little retainer nub. (this was 3 years ago so maybe Dick has addressed this problem by now...I hope!
Mister, why do you carry a 45? "Because Sam Colt don't make a 46."

the little sights are missing the retainer spur I wasn't aware of that. That is an important detail. Before buying them from him I would want to know if he has "fixed" this issue.
Rod, too.

OK, so I just talked to Dick about this. He said that he was fully aware of this, and in the beginning he was a little worried about it. But now after years (I got mine 3 years ago) and 100's of the sights sold, he has never lost or even heard of one being lost.
So apparently, this is not an issue. I Do Not speak from experience because when I first bought them and realized I could just pull the sight out....well back in the safe they went and I never even tried them once.
I would look real closely at Dicks sights as they are heavy duty!. I know guys that bent the original "OneRaggedHole" sight because it was light gauge. Dick's are as heavy gauge as you can fit into the rear base. Plus the last time the original ORH guy closed his doors, he kept taking orders for months after and just stole everyones money!!....

It probably wouldn't be that hard to modify one with a chisel as you said. I have 4 of the originals and never had a problem with them. One thing about Dick's as they are, they would be easier to install.
Rod, too.

Mine has never moved in the gun that I tried it in. I'm not much on those style sights but it was fun to play with on a sixgun. But, like I said, the one I tried never has moved. I think I have another somewhere but I don't know where I would have put it

I have two of Dicks sights on .45 colts and neither has ever moved at all. Both guns get used regularly and hard.Open sights were not usable without glasses anymore, the sights Dick makes are. Very quick service from a fellow shooter and a product that works ,whats not to like!
