runner,
The Oehler 35P ( p = printer ) has been a very good chrono for some years, higher end for price. The CHRONY GAMMA series has worked well for me also, can purchase with a printer. Those oare the ones I have personal experience with.

I use a Prochrono Digital. I think it was about $120 through Cabela's, if memory serves.

I used one of the chrony ones for two shots, then it broke. Others have had GREAT experiences with them. I went to the Oehler 35P and LOVE it. Found mine for a steal, so that made it even better. Used ones can be found on ebay that are in like new condition. I think most people get them and think they will use them a lot, then sell them 6 months later with hardly any use on it.
Well, at least that's what I THINK happens! I use mine every time we go shoot. I like to see how close I can get my loads to being exactly the same cause I'm OCD like that.

I have an Ohler 35P as well, and have no complaints.

I use a Shooting Chrony that cost me $75 second hand. It works great. It does all I need to to, which is tell me how fast a bullet goes. I don't need all the other bells and whistles that the more expensive units offer.
Rod, too.

I used to have an RCBS AmmoMaster chronograph. While it was still working a found it awkward and not very intuitive in its menus and commands. That became irrelevant because it died a couple of months after the warranty expired. Just refused to power up despite trying several new batteries. Checked on the web and this seems to be a common occurrence. Contacted RCBS for advise on how to fix it and was basically told that I needed to buy a new one.
I have now bought a CED M2 chronograph. Much better unit, easier to use and with more functions. I've only recently got it so I can't comment in terms of longevity.

The one I have is blue. It has a remote readout that you can set on the bench which is handy for older eyes.
Rod, too.

gotcha. you got a real good deal then!
Just tried mine out today with a couple cylinders full... worked great! mine is the green one without the remote read out, but I am still pretty young so I could read it just fine
well spent 75 bucks... it is going to be fun testing out loads with it!
