I just bought a new Lipsey special edition Ruger Super Blackhawk 44 magnum - Stainless Steel, 3.75" barrel, Bisley grip frame, black laminated wood grips. It will be an awesome belt gun for the woods and good sidearm while hunting with my scoped Contender. Does anyone else have one? Whats a good recommendation for a belt holster?

That's easy enough. You want a belt holster that loops to your pants belt or a rig w/holster & cartridge loops? Folks here love the Sour Dough from Simply Rugged. I favor the Linebaugh holster from Ringler. Assuming that's what your looking for. Plenty of others though. You'll definitely need a good "gun belt" to go w/it though.

I've been eying the Tauris "Rancher" for a couple years & was thinking it would be a good father's day gift. Has features of both the Sour Dough & Linebaugh. The Tauris "CST" is another good option.

Show a few pictures of this revolver, if you can. I'd like to see one. Thanks.

That is one of my favorite of the newer revolver configurations to come out of Ruger. A member here -- freedom475 -- owns one that I shot, and we were ringing steel out to 100 yards with ease. I was surprised by the accuracy of it. It is portable and it lloks good as well. That same member is the proprietor of 7x Leather (www.7xleather.com), and makes some of the nicest holsters and shoulder rigs that I have ever used.

If they offered that in 45 Colt I would be truly tempted. Good score.

Oh, and:

Rod, too.

Ye local gun[drug]emporium has one in 3.75 in .44mag,also a 4 5/8 in model. They sure are purty and I wish someone would buy the darn things as I can only stand so much temptation. My 4/58 .45 would disown me if I bought one. I need to stay out of that place , but an addiction is an addiction!!!!

Shot my Lipsey RSB over the weekend. Great gun. Cut one hole groups offhand at 20 yards with heavy 240 XTP hunting loads. (23g H-110). Recoil very manageable. Great setup. I like the grip panels and the Bisley grip frame. This gun will see action this fall as my belt gun when hunting with a scoped Contender. Noticeably easier to carry than my 7 1/2" Redhawk. It should be fine for shots within 50 yards.

Here is my Lipsey Bisley RSB beside my 7 1/2 inch Redhawk for size comparison.
