As much as I like sixguns, I have to admit, I'm almost just as big a fan of fine sixgun leather. What good is a fine sixgun if you don't have something nice to keep it with you? From time to time, I've posted a few rigs here that a close friend of mine makes for me. Mike owns Barranti Leather and in my opinion, makes some of the finest gunleather you will ever put your hands on. This is the newest of mine that should arrive next week. Its the Hank Sloan model fit to a 4" N-frame. This model carries the gun nice and tight but more importantly for me, it carries it so well, the weight of the sixgun is all but forgotten while you are out and about on the farm or about town. I use the same model for a 3" Smith and have other 4" models that I have used for years for my larger Smiths.

If you are ever looking for good leather, give Mike's line a good look. He offers everything from the most functional leather that you can wear through the woods to some of the most finely detailed pieces that I consider almost heirloom pieces. Everything is built one at a time by Mike for the customer after the order is placed and can be fully customized to the customer's request. Just figured I'd share another source of great leather in case anyone is looking. See what you think.

Glenn,

That is sweet, brother!

Glenn, congrats on a beautiful shuck...

I think this is gonna spur my second Barranti creation, although this next one may test his patience on gun leather

I hope to see it at some point. At this time, the postal service has lost it. They show delivery yesterday at my house four hours before my mail was actually delivered. I was here at that point. So.........we shall see

Man, that stinks. I know how you feel, the postal service lost more than a few packages of mine or a family member's over the years.

I found it today. It wasn't in the hold area but for some reason showed up in their computer as arriving at the office for a second time. She finally found it somewhere and said it was in an odd area and wasn't set for delivery. The only thing they could figure out was that it was a duplicate ID number on the package. Very strange but I don't care anymore...I have it in hand!!!! Mike's pictures do the shuck no justice at all. The details in person are much sharper. I'll try and get some good pics of it and post them soon.
