Handgunner here from armstrong county, hunt in armstrong and jefferson county (camp). Not new to handguns, but have had a new interest in it. My last several gun purchases have been handguns (mostly revolvers). Shooting and handloading for 357 magnum,44 magnum, 45 colt and 500 JRH. And bullet casting for 44,45 and the 500. Have had one deer kill with a 357, many years ago, but hope for more with a handgun. Trying for groundhogs also, but not much luck so far. Shoot my handguns every week, but haven't any of my rifles in several months. Forgot about a more recent deer kill with a 30-30 contender.

Yes, really liking the big bores. The 500 JRH is a thumper! It is a BFR revolver with a 5.5" barrel and a ultradot sight. Shooting a lee 440 grain lfn at 1250 fps.It can be a thumper at both ends if you don't hang on to it! But i'm surprising myself at how good i can shoot with it. There's just a fine line between getting that trigger pull just right, and still hanging when the gernade goes off, if you know what i mean.

I am from southern Armstrong County I use contender and encore pistols. The last 4 deer I have taken were with my 300win mag encore pistol guess it is my pistol of choice.

I thought I would restart this post.
I am from Lewistown. I hunt with TC Contenders in various calibers (the 358JDJ is my fav) or with a 44 revolver - Ruger or S&W.

I'm from York county. At 50 years young this year I decided that it was handgun or nothing this year. So far so good, an 8 point on opening day at 110 yds. and a doe today at 103 yds. Loving this as it has put a lot of the excitement back into it for me.

I recently moved to York county.
Haven't had a lot of time to hunt in the past. Now Grand kids are taking up my time quite a bit. I have a 41 maag Blackhawk and a 243 Encore. I hope to get back in the game this fall.
