Anyone have a supplier stocking them now. Thanks.

I use jacketed in my 460, but hardcast in my 500JRH. The jacketed I use in the 460 is the 300gr XTP MAG. It is deadly accurate out of my gun, and I know it will do its job out to 200+ yards.

I quit looking for bullets to use in the 460S&W once I tried that 300gr XTP MAG.

I push a 240 grain XTP-Mag at 2000 fps out of my 460. Haven't killed a deer with that load yet, but surely it'll do the trick on any whitetail or hog. The 350 grain XTP-Mag for the 500 is what I'd use if I had one.

I don't think you have to worry too much about bullet selection when using one of the Smith and Wesson monster magnums on medium sized game.

As far as finding places that have them in stock, I suggest you check websites like Cabelas, Bass Pro, and Midway often. It's still hit and miss as far as finding components, but odds are you'll find some eventually if you check a couple of the larger websites fairly often.

Rod, too.

Short cuts often lead to long recoveries.

Bass Pro in Clarksville IN has very little reloading components. Use the WEB mostly anymore

I use the XTP 350 gr. @ 1350 fps exclusively in .500 WE's when using a jacketed bullet. I don't own a .460 but use the .45 300 gr. XTP or Sierra 300 gr. @ soft point @ either 1380 or 1550 fps in my .454's,, depending upon the game. These loads have all proven very satisfactory.

Available although pricey, these bullets will stand up to the velocity demands of the big Smith's.

Barnes XPB : 460S&W - 200 and 275 gr, 500 S&W - 275 and 375 gr

Swift A-Frames : 460 - 265, 300 and 325 gr bullets; 500 - 325 gr

Nosler handgun Partitions - 460 - 260 and 300 (dc'ed)

FA JFP - 460 - 260gr (dc'ed but still available) and 300 gr (dc'ed)
