For what kind of handgun?
Rod, too.
Short cuts often lead to long recoveries.

Rob Leahy and Mike Barranti both make mine. I think Mike has switched everything over to the talon swivels as well which is my favorite. I spec them to be non adjustable and 36". Color is up to you of course. Prices are very reasonable.
I use the same slings on all my handguns from. 7.5-10" scoped rugers and freedoms arms to the contenders. Works like a charm.

I find rifle slings to be overkill - in length and width - so I use a binocular strap. This works for me because the only time the gun is slung is when I'm climbing into a tree-stand or dragging out a kill.

On my Contender I use a 60"x1" nylon sling attached thusly. It is quick and easy to adjust the length and the muzzle is always pointed in a safe direction. I use a similar method for the Striker. My wheelguns ride in leather.
Rod, too.

For what kind of handgun? For a Taurus Raging Bull,i usually carry it in a bandolier holster but it just doesn't ride well.

I forgot to add this in my Africa story but I found my sling for my FA`s 475 with 10" barrel to be perfect for that type of hunting. The first day we spotted the buff at 70 yards and after we set up our rests I tried to pull my scoped 475 from the Bandito and it hung up allowing the buff to get away. After that I used the sling which was a great way to carry my handgun. Much faster to get into play then I expected.....

I can't tell where the front end of sling attaches to handgun but, I'm wondering if this would work on my Remington XP with only one sling swivel stud(on front end, used for Harris bi pod? Steve
