While shooting 9.8 gr. Unique/ 240 gr. lead loads in my S&W M629-1 Thursday my scope went awry. An obstruction appeared at the 5 o'clock position in the sight picture and the focus was bad. As shooting progressed the groups enlarged as the obstruction grew and focus worsened. Finally the sight picture blurred completely and shooting ceased. Upon shaking the scope it was obvious that an ocular bell lens is loose. This Simmons 2X20 Prohunter scope has endured hundreds of heavy loads.Given the scope's cost I cannot complain.

Send it back and they will send you a new one.They are better reserved for the lighter recoiling rounds,but are a good scope for them.
