Love to shoot. That said im bored punching paper. Use to have fun chasing tin cans with my 10/22 growing up. But aluminum cans dont jump like tin cans. So what does everybody else shoot for fun rimfire... center fire ? Have a cheapo spinner that is ok but its not doing much for me or grandson's attention.

cheap or outdated sodas cans (full), or anything under pressure. Within reason of course! paintballs...

Soda cans can be fun but my club has rules about things that attracts critters and, leaves a mess on the grounds. Tannerite is a big no no. Was wondering about the rubber boxes and such.

when I was shooting muzzleloaders a lot we were always trying to come up with different stuff to make our monthly shoots a little more interesting,these are some you might try. cans of cheap shaving cream, balloons half filled with flour, a weight hanging from a half inch rope(see how many shots it takes you to cut the rope, a length of log chain strung between to points, small candy suckers or gumdrops on toothpicks at 25yrds. you get the idea! almost forgot the classic, a double bitted axe stuck in a tree with a clay pigeon on each side.

Steel targets, a fun one is golf balls, and playing cards, challenge yourself.

Go buy a case of really really cheap beer, leave it in the sun, shake up the cans and blast away. I suppose that is not allowed on your club range though.

If you're in an open area without too much grass golf balls are fun to shoot. They jump and roll away giving you a more difficult target with every shot. Balloons are fun too. You can make them pretty much any size you want.

I've found old plastic water bottles (filled, of course) tend to make good targets. Someone once told me that if you can consistently hit a gallon sized milk jug at whatever range you intend to encounter your quarry, you should be good for deer sized game.

made up some steel swingers 9inches in diameter, as soon as my daughter began to get the hang of target acquisition-front sight-rear sight-trigger squeeze- and started getting"bored" with that- I started shooting which sort of put the onus on her to match me clang for clang.... started with 1022 and moved on to a mark one

I whipped out of couple of these today. The ole Texas star with clay birds for plinking fun. The shaft is on bearings so when you break one the others start moving. Gonna drive the kids nuts....

A notch holds the edge of the birds and a rubber band keeps enough tension on them to hold when rotating.

My son and I are currently drinking our way to a nice little stash of empty gallon milk jugs. He's pretty excited to see what happens to a water-filled jug when the "big gun" (475L) bears down on them. Should be good fun.
