After leaving Freedom Arms I drove across Idaho to Boise for the purpose of seeing the Elmer Keith exhibit at Cabelas. For someone that has followed Keith for a long, long time, the exhibit was something I`ve always wanted to see. I was not disappointed. There is not much to add as anything "Keith" speaks for itself so please come and enjoy the photos....

Rod, too.

Short cuts often lead to long recoveries.

The gentleman was a shootist, plain and simple, a wildcatter, without him and his efforts, along with a few key others we would not be enjoying the benefits of their efforts.

The Elmer Keith exhibit is something I have wanted to see myself. Thanks for sharing your awesome experience with us James!! I think Keith's custom six guns are some of the most beautiful firearms I have ever seen. Spent many hours staring at pictures of them in magazines and books. The awesome part of it is that he worked them like rented mules. I always have had respect for that. As nice as they were he never let the aesthetic value stop him from using them in the field.

Thanks for sharing James. I was able to see it too a couple years back when the annual S&W collectors show was help in Boise. It's some beautiful country around there.
