Once you have the sight in the color you want is the sight blade easy to remove and install? I see what looks to be a small pin holding it in. Thought I make a few changes to mine myself, Belt Mountain base pin and colored front sight blade for starters. Off to a gunsmith for an action job at some point, although it's awful smooth for a single action right out of the box. Thought I may order the multi colored sight blades from Magna Port. Black is just too hard for my eyes to see amymore.

It's easy to remove but you really should leave it in place. It's not like certain Ruger's or the Freedom Arms sight that is easy to change. You can get a bowen front sight blank that is steel but you'll have to drill a new hole in it for the pin and blue it. The Bowen rough country rear sight is also a nice change. The biggest challenge to fiddling around with the front sight on the short barreled guns is getting the correct height.

For me the paint pen work great on changing sight color. The color is easy to change as the normal backgroung does where I hunt.

I go to the dollar store and buy the brightest orange or red fingernail polish. If i change colors, i rob my wifes remover and take off the color, easy and cheap!

If you like to experiment and have a nail salon nearby, who doesn't, you can make your own insert using the color and hardeners they use on nails. Don't ask me what the recipe is but I've seen it done.
