it has been a while since i have been logged in i always look in but anyway i bought a another smith & wesson 44 mag hunter from performance center. i have a leo 2.5x8 scope the problem is i want to try to keep the sights lined up and if i put the scope on it with high rings it misses the front sight but the rear sight is still barely hitting i can take off the rear sight but i want to leave it on if possible. a 4x leo will fit in the middle but i just sold my last one. it comes with a red dot scope but i just don't like them. any ideas

Rod, too.

I had to use extra-high on my Bisley Hunter to keep my irons zeroed.

Gene,
When you say barely, if in the range of 20 thou, you might get away with using Burris Signature rings and their insert system. I am trying out a set on a rifle that has unique scope mounting solutions, and the inserts got me what I needed. There are a couple of issues with the Burris rings. One being that they are not quite Quick with levers. They need a torx wrench, as they come stock. I am going to try and find some 6-40 screws with different heads to try some tricks. The other would be the 6-40 cross screw is round, and not lugged like leupy's. This could present issues with the cross slot on your gun, if not mounted correctly, with super duper loads.

Gene,
Looks great. One suggestion if I may. If you have any of the see through type scope caps, might want to put one on the front when you shoot it to see how the front lense works with being so close to the comp. I have had that problem before, and while my lense would clean up, I decided it was probably not good on my lense coatings.
I really like the looks of those PC guns. I would never call a traditional S&W or Colt revolver sexy, but definitely those PC critters....
