Got a couple of new to me Contender barrels and an Ultra dot sight today . Little truckstop with a parking area off to the side where yard sale vendors set up on weekends. Guy had a Contender with and old octagon .222 barrel on it and three more barrels 7 mm tcu,.375 jdj and a .30 herret. The 7 mm tcu the 375 jdj and the ultra dot followed me home [real good prices] .The .375 jdj turned out to be a Bellm made barrel instead of an ssk. Would have liked to have the frame too but ran out of mad money.I just hate when that happens

I like the 375 JDJ. I'm hoping to have a chance to work mine out this year as well. Good luck with it!

Good deal! You'll like the 375 JDJ. I have 375 JDJ pistol and carbine barrels for my Encore. They are both very accurate. Great round!

Thats the right ballpark. Now I need to find dies for the 7mm tcu and the 375 jdj. Then bullets etc. etc. I've got plenty of .223 brass but will need to find 20 to 50 .444 brass. If anyone has any .444 I have some new Hornady .450 marlin brass I would trade.

Junebug,

I think I have some misc 444 brass. No sure how much, but I'll check and let you know. I tend to be a brass hog; picking up what ever I come across. Should be able to let you know tomorrow. Your welcome to what I have.

I only have 21pcs and I just put them in the tumbler. I didn't measure the lengths, but it looked to be two or three different lengths. Is that common with 444? Anyway, it's my treat. PM me your address and I'll get 'em too you as soon as I can. If they're no good, trim 'em to 44 mag or chunk in the garbage.

Most are the same length usually that I know of but some of the new Hornady stuff is a little shorter sometimes I've noticed. Do you remember if it was hornady?

Hornady Leverevolution brass tends to be cut short to accommodate the pointed FTX bullets.

I bet this is the issue. All of it is Hornady brass, I think, but I have no idea what type of factory load it was.
