I took my daughter to the range yeasterday for some trigger time with a 243. She's going hunting this year as a "mentored Youth". Pennsylvania started this program a few years ago. Anyway, after the barrel got hot in the243, I asked her if She wanted to try My 270. I almost fell over when She said yes. After a few rounds of the 270, I JOKINGLY asked Her if She wanted to shoot My Redhawk. She said sure. She didn't hit the target at 50 yards, but She did handle the recoil well. I am soooo proud!

Sureshot43, that is too cool! People don't give women & even young ladies like your daughter credit for being able to handle recoil. My wife is 5'2 & a little over 100 pounds & can shoot her SRH 44 all day, with any load. Never once will she complain about recoil. I can't say that about a lot of my other friends.

Looks like you raised her right.

Last spring she shot My SP101 with .357's not .38's and at 7 yards every shot was a "kill shot". Again, never even mentioned recoil.

Congrats. Sounds like it's time for her own Blackhawk. I had a boy about the same age shoot my 44 SBH with the same results.

If you get it and she doesn't like it let her hunt with the 357 and use the 44 yourself.
