I got this small 8 this morning with my 475 Linebaugh and a 325 gr Speer. I almost shot under him but it was just enough to get into the chest and broke both front legs right on the joints. He ran about 20 yards.

Nice buck. You should've read my post from last night. I'm envious no matter the size of the deer at this point. I'd take it!

Where I hunt this would be considered a trophy. Nice deer!

It was only 60 yards but I was in a tree and it was a difficult angle.

60 yards is a long shot for me. I am still shooting my GP100 and Ruger Redhawk with open sights. I just bought a Ruger Blackhawk and added a Ultra dot 25 to it. I shoot my guns with open sights better. I really love my GP100 and hope to kill a deer with it this year. I have killed 6 with my redhawk all one shot kills out to 75 yards.

That's good shooting with open sights.

I was hoping to hunt deer with the Blackhawk but am not shooting it well enough so I plan to use my GP100 and keep my shots under 40 yards. I will have to practice a lot with the Blackhawk before next season.

Good job Gary.

Rod, too.

Gary, how fast are you pushing those 325's? I just picked some up and will begin loading them soon.

Bullet perform as advertised?

I've been very happy with these bullets. I've taken bear, elk, deer, hogs and oryx with them. They shoot well in my FA and they do not separate from the jacket. I'm shooting 30.5gr of WW296 and they are running about 1500.
