The Kentucky opener was a great morning for me. I was able to christen my Super Blackhawk Hunter Bisley by not only taking a deer, but I was able to take two. I've shot a few deer with my Encore and my Super Blackhawk, but never my Super Blackhawk Hunter, until now.

Both were shot at 30 yards, each went almost 30 yards. They were shot about 5 feet from each other about an hour apart. I was using hand loads consisting of 270gr. Gold Dot soft points over a dose of H110.

That should help fill the freezer!

I'd say! Quite the christening.

Rod, too.

Congrats! You broke it in right. Nice buck to boot.

Congratulations!!! A great way to break in a handgun. Maybe it's just a beginning to a long success story with the Hunter.

Thanks everyone. Being able to shoot two deer was great. Last year I spent all deer season laid up after having knee surgery. Shooting sure is the easy part. Dragging and field dressing them was a little harder.
Mad Dog, I was hunting with my Father-in-Law in Hardin county. I'm actually a Hoosier too. Live right across from Louisville.
