So i'm an amateur hunter as some of you guys know, I will be going to this land for the first time. I took a google maps image of it, based on your experiences if you were to go here for the first time and this is all you had to go on where would you check first?
I circled what i believe are water ponds, but will these be the best places to visit first?

Rmag,

I expect the animals (deer?) will attempt to water in the early morning, late evening. They will come out of the beds (in the cover)at those times. You should see trails that they use in their travels. You will need to be camouflaged appropriate to the terrain. Will you use a blind (ground or elevated)? Should get some recon time in before the hunt. Food / water sources, trails, approx. # animals, etc..

Doc

How dry has it been down there in Florida recently? If it has been really dry, then the deer will probably be hitting the watering holes as Doc mentioned. If you have recently had rain, it is likely they will have enough other water sources and may not hit the ponds.

My thought would be to set up on the funnels
1) to the right of the upper most watering hole
2) about halfway between the upper two watering holes.
3) at the very top of the image, above and to the right of the top watering hole.

Barring any other scouting information, this "should" put you along the most likely travel routes as the deer move about.

I see a couple of pinch points there, wait for the right wind and have at it.

Deer like the "edge", where changes in vegetation/habitat come together. They also like to use low spots to cross openings. Find a place in a fence line where they are crossing. You can usually find deer hair in the fence as well as trails leading to and from.

I would be looking hard at the area at the top of the image in the middle where it looks like there is a narrow stip of woods that might connect to a larger wooded area. Just up and to the right of that top yellow circle.

Why do you plan to hunt with? What you're shooting, how well and the capabilities of your range will also dictate where to setup. If you're comfortable shooting 50 yards yr setup will likely be different than if you can and are willing to shoot 300 where you can cover multiple likely spots effectively while still covering your primary prefered spot.

My vote would be somewhere near that top circle. The exact location depends on the direction you expect the wind to be blowing.
