Finally the winds died down and on the verge of yet another shift in the weather, Success. 152# 8-pt taken at 40 yards with my 12" 7mm-08 encore

Thanks, for your help Rod... Specifics? he came across a grassy slope. At 40 yards the doe he was following looked up as I unholstered my 12" Encore(7mm-08) with a 2-7 Burris(set on 3x) he watched her turn and run, so presented me with a nice clear broadside shot. 140 grains of Nosler Balistic tip thru the lungs at the juncture with the trachea. He sort of humped up and trundled off 35 yards where he wallowed to a stop. He stretched the spring scale to 152 and is hanging in the barn, coolin' off.
