Would like some feedback on what type of shooting gloves any one uses for shooting big bore handguns and where to purchase. Thanks

Do you want a glove with padding or without? A golf glove or batting glove work well as does a snug fitting leather glove with the tip of the trigger finger cut out.

I use shooting gloves from Smith and Wesson's website. Cordura and padded right, and fit really well.

Yes I was wanting a padded glove to help absorb some recoil while testing loads and target shooting big handguns. I found some Remington gel padded gloves on Midway USA site and was curious of other peoples choice or experience. I use Pachmayr grips on all my handguns so this helps but was thinking about trying gloves also.

I have some gel padded anti viberation gloves but can never get what I consider a good grip on the gun with them. They make my hand feel fat and don't alow a good grip, for me.

Browning makes thin leather-like shooting gloves that I prefer; no padding. I know padding helps with the recoil punishment but I don't like it because it doesn't feel natural to me. That way if I need to shoot without the gloves my grip is about the same. Not sure how that would work with padded gloves.

I'm with Gregg. This browning glove he speaks of is my favorite. I use others similar to them also, but the browning is the cats meow..IMO. All this is pending you not wanting padding. I use unpadded practicing and hunting so nothing changes. I've tried the padded, but as junebug mentioned: feels awkward and can't keep a consistent grip. Consistentsy is paramount with handgun shoot'n.

Try mechanics gloves made for running air inpact wrenches, most have stiff padding not to squishey so you can get a good grip. Most are not too expensive so not much risk if they won't work for you, then give them to your mechanic !!

In reference to the mechanics gloves I use Dewalt work gloves when we are shooting trap in cold weather but have not looked at the mechanics gloves and that may be a place to start. Several have brought up the consistent part of using what you practice with you hunt with and that is something to consider.

Grip consistency is probably the most important aspect of shooting a handgun accurately. I prefer no gloves for the most consistent grip, so, I try not to use them. Occasionally though, your palms get sweaty and then a smooth-gripped gun can get squirrely (shooting at any living critter or with an audience does it for me every time).
I've tried everything including 1/2-finger unpadded and gel-padded motorcycle gloves (both work pretty well and generally pretty cheap), UnderArmour full-coverage base-layer gloves (also work well, good trigger feedback if a snug fit), Kevlar-lined full-coverage LE gloves (not very good), Mechanix work gloves (surprisingly good and inexpensive enough to buy multiple pairs to put one each in the truck, hunting bag, etc., provides good trigger feedback or just as easily cut off trigger finger), PAST shooting gloves (not impressed), and smooth leather "shotgunning" gloves (not good at all).
I like Mechanix Original gloves the best.

I use a pair of Hatch (law enforcement) pat-down gloves. They are not "warm" but better than loose mitts, have a gripping/tacky texture on fingers and palm and are available in sizes for a better fit. They run about $30 and I cut the thumb and forefinger out for good contact.
Lead, push or get the heck out of the way!

I use a pair of Bob Allen leather shotgun gloves. They are not padded and not insulated. They help if your hands start to sweat.
