This year we had lots of snow then no snow then more snow. we had wind and rain and finally I ended the season on a positive note harvesting this dandy doe with a single shot from my 12" 209x50 Encore. I hit her low in the ches and only got one of her lungs, she ran about 65 yards to some brush where she laid down. When I approached her she seemed to be alert to the point where I wasn't sure she was the right one, but when she jumped up and ran she was leaving a steady trail of blood, I didn't pursue her any farther, and she only went another fifty yards before she laid down again. Good job. Late MZ season is typically the time that my hunting group takes the opportunity to fill a bunch of tags after passing deer during bow and gun seasons. Good on ya for getting it done with a handgun.
