Does anyone here have any experience, one way or the other, regarding the Buffalo Bore "Deer Grenade"? .44 Magnum medium hard cast hollow point. Thanks.

TM, Haven't got to kill anything with this round yet but it's one of the most accurate loads I have shot in my RSBH. I'm waiting to punch a deer or hog.

I killed 4 whitetails with it this past fall with my ruger redhawk and killed a few last season with it in a EA Brown BF single shot pistol. I've recovered a couple from deer and all that was left is the base of the bullet. It makes some nasty holes in game and is one deadly 44 load for medium size game. The bullet is made by Rim Rock bullets and can be purchased from them for reloading.

So does it live up to its name then? Were you picking shrapnel out of your sausage trim?

Yes, the nose end blows apart leaving the base intact .
