Lehigh has come out with a .375 175 grain bullet. Has anyone tried this in a 375JDJ yet? I have tried the below bullets recently in water and wet paper with no expansion. I will post pictures on bragging board later of results.
260 grain Nosler partition
225 grain Hornady
235 grain Sierra
235 grain Barnes TSX

Hmm. This looks interesting. I am wondering what the numbers are on that.

Just wondering, have you thought about trying the Hornady 220 grain flat point?

No expansion.. even the nose of the Partition! Approx. what velocities are you pushing them at?

I have killed several elk with the 270 Hornady (not on your list) and that bullet comes apart pretty good (bad?).

That 175 grainer seems pretty light for caliber...wonder how it would perform.

to me ,its not about what it does after the bullet get there, its about ,is it going where a want it to go. at this point in time the Hornady 220 grain flat point is the bullet that does that . I know what it does to a whitetail deer . what does it do when it hits water.................I really don't care. what I do care about is ,when is hornady going to put then back on the dealer shelves !

I agree cataway I prefer the 220 grain hornady bullets.
Greg I had same result with 270 grain Hornady bullet. I was using max charge of IMR 4064. I can't find H4895. I plan to buy chronograph soon. That's only thing left to buy since the reloading bug bit me and burrowed deep inside my brain.

I'm a Lehigh tester. They haven't informed me of the 175. Here's what the first batch of 250 Lehighs did to deer last year

The deer was at 120 yards. Took one step.
I put this bullet in a .376 Steyr and .375/.284. Damage was 2-3X more. Very wicked and accurate bullet.
The 175s should work well, but probably shoot far enough off your other bullets making you resight.

After talking with WVHitman, I purchased some of the 250's and I'm loading them for my 375JDJ and my .376 Steyr MOA. The first day I have time when it is not windy or freezing I'm going to shoot them.
I can't wait to try them on a pig.

I contacted JD Jones by email and he responded quickly as usual to my questions about a starting load for the the 175 grain Lehigh bullet in my 375 JDJ. They came in the mail today. I loaded them up with 40 grains of IMR 4198. The next chance I get I will be testing them at the range.

I bought a Caldwell chronograph to help with the testing. It is a little harder to get the chronograph to read than I expected. It is very sensitive to light and being level. I still have not been able to get a reading with 204 ruger.
