I have mentioned that I have a modest knife collection and here are some of them of special interest to hunters and shooters due to their makers. From top going clockwise: Browning, Simmons, North American Hunting Club, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Beretta, T/C #7, T/C #12, and last but not least, Cabela's Club. If you have any similar ones, let's see them!

I will have to get mine together for a group photo as well. Here is one of my favorite skinning knives, by Charles May.

Where's that one from Wyoming Gregg. That was nice! Like this one, Duke? Three of my favorites: Top knife is from Browning. Next down is a knife by Mike Irie, "Sport 100." And third down is the one Duke mentioned. I bought it in 2014 in Wyoming; it is a Damascus blade/Stag handle made by Silver Stag, USA. Nice to have a knife made in America! I really like this design and have several other similar ones; this one has already been used on several deer.

I want to pass on an observation I have noted on knife design. It is interesting how some knives have the cutting edge full length to the handle, while others have a "finger space" intervening there between the cutting edge and the handle.
JMHO--You all may have already noted this but I feel it is worth mentioning. It doesn't appear to be directly related to blade size either, BTW.

Anyone on here using the Havalon knives with scalpel blades? I have the standard size & the larger size. I see the advantages they offer to big game hunters, especially on backpack type hunts. Lighter, no need to carry sharpeners, fresh blade changeout in a few seconds, etc. BUT, I'm really leaning toward going back to a "real" knife. Just something about the look & feel of a good fixed blade...
