I had the bright idea to order 100 sabots and bullets for my 30-30 contender. (0ld accelerator type ammo). Then I read you shouldn't shoot sabots in guns with muzzle brakes or flash suppresors. Has anyone tried the sabots in a TC factory installed muzzle tamer before? I am thinking this would apply to more radical brake systems not the muzzle tamer. What do you think?

I don't know for sure but when David White built the brake for my 444 Marlin barrel he told me that he recommended against gas-check bullets with it & if I was going to shoot them I should check the brake every shot & make sure a gas-check hadn't hung up in it. Never happened...

Never tried the sabots but a muzzle brake is a muzzle brake no matter what its called . Could get interesting real fast.I had one blow off a .35 Rem 12 in Hunter barrel with 200 gr Rem bullets, and never did find that dang thing. Don't think its worth the risk myself.Might try them with a Magna Ported barrel. But not a brake.

Thanks for advice. Looks like I might have to load them up in my rifle or buy another barrel.
