Well I am planning on only Handgun Hunting from now on, with that said I am needing a Black Powder pistol to hunt the various Wildlife Management Areas here in Alabama during the Primitive Weapon Hunts. What is the consensus on the CVA Optima V2 50. pistol? Please feel free to post the Good and the Bad. Pics are welcome. Thanks.

I love mine. http://www.handgunhunt.com/photopost/showgallery.php?cat=692I've put a red dot sight on it since the photos were take and it works great. They say it's good out to about 100 yards but that will be up to you. Jeff

mine is great, too. Accurate, minimal recoil, easy to clean.

I have had mine only since Christmas so I have not hunted with it yet but it seems very accurate and is easy to clean.
I like it.

I picked up my 1st Black Powder Pistol today. I was very surprised at the fit and finish of this single shot. The pistol is really nicely constructed, just as impressive as the appearance is the ultra-light trigger. I have owned several nice high end hunting rifles over the years and having been a former observer/sniper for a SRT team I can tell you that the CVA Optima V2 trigger is a great trigger. I will post some pics when I head to the range. If your in the market for a pistol I would take a serious look at this CVA.

I love mine. I have it sighted in 1" high at 25 yards. It is very accurate and easy to clean.

Can't wait to read the range report. I've considered getting one of those at some point.
