I'm sure there are a few handgun hunters that live around that area, especially since South Carolina has such a long firearms season. I'm close to 4 hours away from Myrtle Beach. Good luck hunting this Fall.

I'm about 30 mins west of you. Just started handgun hunting . I killed a couple of hogs on my lease last spring with my blackhawk, gonna shoot a deer with it this year when I'm done with my bow.

I actually just got mine out of layaway yesterday. I have a few places to hunt deer in but havent found anywhere to hunt pigs. you wouldnt know anywhere locally would you or even somewhere close?

I live NW of Conway. There are plenty of hogs in Horry county if ya know where to look. The last one I killed was in July with my bow. I kill about a dozen a year. I hunt them hard once deer season is over. I've bowhunted/ rifle hunted for 25 years, but I'm a newbie handgunner.

well its good to talk to someone local. I too have been bowhunting for quite a while and rifle hunting mostly for deer. ive just got into pig hunting and am a newbie in handgun hunting. but my passion has got to be duck hunting! i've always heard that there alot of pigs here but i havent found any yet. but sure would love a good place. the couple of people i hunt with arnt interested in pigs or handgun hunting. maybe we could get together and hunt a little. I work for horry co. fire/rescue so i work 24hrs and then im off 48 so i have plenty or time to hunt.

I duckhunt every day of the season I can. I grew up hunting the ricefields and Santee rivers. Its not what it used to be. Way too many people and too few ducks. I shoot woodies on my lease and hunt some impoundments down around Santee. I just got back from my lease and its underwater from all the rain. I couldnt hunt the stand i wanted but my father-in-law sat with my youngest and they had 3 hogs come out right at dark. He missed a nice one with a .44 carbine. I might try to get in ther one evening this week with my .41.

I'll chime in from up here in Columbia, SC. Don't get to hunt around Myrtle Beach, but do quite a bit between Lake City and Kingstree. I have been handgun hunting with TC's for about 5 years now.

Nozzlehog, if you want to kill a pig Samworth WMA has some archery only hunts this month. Access is by boat, but there are plenty of hogs and the waters up. The hogs are out of the fields and on the dikes.
