Guys what are your 454 XTP loads in both the 300 and 240. I have both and want to see what others are using. My 240 load is very solid over 296 but wanted to see what others are using in both weight bullets even if you're using 296 yourselves. It's for my FA 454s.

Either 30.5 of H-110 or 31.5 of H110 with the 300 grain XTP.
Thinking it was the 31.5.
This is for a FA revolver. 1775 was my MV with a 7.5" barrel.
This was a load I got from Bob back in the early 90's.

32 of 296/110 with a Rem 7.5 was my old load with a 300 XTP mag. It's stiff though. It would do about 1615 fps from a 7.5" FA. Deer and hogs hated it though! Superbly accurate in my guns.

That's some good shootin', James ;-)

Rod, too.

Short cuts often lead to long recoveries.

Rod, Groups like that are far and few between.... The full story is that this was the first time I shot the 454 since Alaska grizz and I did not remember that the scope was sighted for the 360gr Corbon.
It was a real mess until I got the elevation dialed in....
