I went hunting with the 44 this afternoon I have several trail cam pics of 2 different groups of hogs coming in and I had several pics of a pretty good boar coming in so I decided to go this afternoon and sure enough I watched a coon at the feeder for 10 minutes and he looked up and ran off and I looked down a little opening and seen him coming in and I got the ear plugs in and waited for him to come out of the edge of the woods for a shot after about 5 minutes I seen him poke his head out nervously ( this particular place I hunt the hogs are very educated as I have killed a whole lot of them out there over the past few years) so as soon as he took 1 more step I put it on his shoulder and squeezed the trigger and he went down hard I ended up shooting him 1 more time because even though they are hogs I still want them to die quick and be ethical about it. I shot him at 40 yds with my 7 1/2" redhawk using my handloads with a 240 gr xtp using h110 and got clean pass through on both shots. Here is a couple pics thanks for looking

Congrats! That's a nice swine.
It takes 43 muscles to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger squeeze.

Yea, good job! Open sights and nice gun. Pretty good job for 240 xtp's too. I read alot of, "you gotta go to 300 grain....". At reasonable ranges looks like 240 will do it.

I I shoot quite a few hogs so I usually give them to people that want or need them, I have about 80 lbs of breakfast sausage in the freezer right now but I do like to butterfly the back straps and grill them
