Just picked up a new Kimber 10mm, pretty excited to get some loads developed for hunting with it this season. Aside from penetration tests like TnOutdoors9 does on YouTube, anyone here on the forum have any real world experience on game with either the 200gr XTP or the 200gr Nosler out of a 10mm? Or if you guys prefer a 180 I'm all ears.

Thanks,

Eric

No pics.............no gun.

It's science.

Currently laying in bed with the flu, so there's no chance for a pic today or probably tomorrow. But I support your scientific statement wholeheartedly!

I'll get one as soon as I can get out to the garage without dying.

Rod, too.

Short cuts often lead to long recoveries.

PorkChop,

I've used both the 180s and 200 grainers. The 180s worked fine on the antelope and whitetails, one shot kills, either DRT or short track with pass throughs and good blood trails. Never recovered complete bullets, sometimes jacket material. Used the 200s on a cow elk, approx 300#, 30 yards, quartering shot, struck behind left shoulder, slug in right paunch, went about 20 yds. Only problem with the Kimber, throws the brass into the next county. The Glock 20s not so much.

Doc

I'm using 180 gr hornady xtp loads. Its not a very hot load but very accurate in my glock 20

I was very happy to pick up the pistol, not happy to wake up the next day with the flu. I definitely accumulated some bad karma somewhere. Apparently I'm still maintaining my "if I didn't have bad luck I'd have no luck at all streak". As soon as I can leave this bed without hurling I'm taking pictures and going shooting!

I am using 180 XTP over near max load of blue dot. Nice load. Very accurate with mild recoil. Taken 2 whitetail in 40 yard zone.
My glock 20 likes them.

Very interested in the 10mm loads myself. I'm going to order some Underwood 180 and 200 xtp loads. Considering trying the 200 gr hardcast as well just to see which is most accurate in the new gun. Right now I'm leaning toward one of the xtp loads for our whitetails.

My first choice is the 180 grain XTP for everything tougher than that 200 grain WFN GC

You can't fix stupid!

I'm still breaking in the new pistol, working through a couple boxes of FMJ's to eliminate fail to feeds. I had a couple that hung up part way up the feed ramp, but hoping it works itself out with a few more rounds before I load up some 180 XTP's to try.
