These few photo`s will not show the good time we had at Dick Thompson`s first hanmdgun hunting get-together in Soda Springs, Idaho... photo`s top to bottom:
1) This picture shows a quarter of the people that came to Soda Springs....
2)First day at the range with plenty of steel target and pop ups...
3) All the single actions are custom by Alpha Precision, John Gallager and Ham Bowen.....
4)Lost count of how many ground squirrel`s I shot....
5)Me and Dick Thompson...
6)Making 200 to 300 yard shots on river rocks from the cliff..
7) The only thing to worry about when shooting ground squirrel`s is running out of ammo...
8) Dick and Russ the sheriff loading up....
9) Thousand`s of squirrel`s...

Looks like "loads" of fun!

It takes 43 muscles to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger squeeze.

Never been to a handgunning event that wasn't fun and the people enjoyable. Sorry we missed you, but Metha was ready to drop me off at Raton and get back to the grandbabies....

It was a pleasure meeting all of the great folks. James, you are a hoot and we really enjoyed your company. For those who care, my sweetie and I are on the far right in the first pic.

James is right, the squirrels seemed to be endless. I lost count of how many we whacked. I will say that a 100gr cast over 12.5 gr of W296 sure does a number on them.

Russ, I trust Raton was another great time with good folks.

did ya get lucky to get invited or is this get together different than the "only special industry people" one that goes on every year? either way it looks like ya had fun.
