I remember one of the major handgun writers stating, in an article about minimum handgun battery, that he would take a 32 instead of a 22 because its reloadable. At the time 22 ammo was everywhere. On a recent range session with handgunners from across the country, the 32 caliber handguns were in every other shooters hand and I said how this caliber made so much sense now that 22 ammo was so hard to find.
Almost as easy to shoot as a 22, great small game cartridge and most important, reloadable. Who would have thought???

I agree James. I actually land trap, and have turned to the 32 for dispatching my catches. All the reasons you've put down above, are spot on. Not to mention that the 32 isn't anymore damaging then the 22.

James, it's always made sense (and cents).

It's not the gun, but the man behind it.

I don't have a 32, but 22 LR shortages led me to pick up a 218 Bee barrel for my 'Tender. Could load it for about the same cost as 22's but with better consistancy.

Rod, too.

If I ever wanted to get a barrel for cheap practice, I'd get a 38 Special or 5.7x28mm.

I always though a 45 acp or 9mm in an 8" encore barrel would be a fun plunked as well as cheap. Range brass is everywhere.

I started to go with a 327 or 32 H&R on this last purchase. I think that is a very adequate chambering. I can still load 44 special pretty cheap, especially with cast bullets.
