After buying my 480 super redhawk i quickly came to the conclusion i was going to need to cast my own bullets. I ordered a lyman casting handbook to get an idea what i was in for. Little reading ... some u- tube.. and some prodding from racksmasher i ordered a lyman master casting kit lee sizing die and lee 325 grain mold. Upgraded the pot to a lee 20 lbs pot sold the little lyman pot . I now have 2 copies of the lyman cast bullet hand book. If anybody here that is interested in getting into casting or has a need for this book please message me .

Last time I was in a gunshop, I picked up a copy of that book. Put it back, thinking I don't have a place to cast my own. But after reading that some guys cast outside, I just might try it.

I have a couple of guns that I would like to try to cast for. One of them being a SRH 480.

If you are looking to learn more about casting, I suggest you go over to the castboolits web site. There is a lot of info over there. Just reading the "stickies" I learned a lot about casting
