Is anyone aware of a pistol style crossbow thats powerful enough for deer hunting?

I doubt it. All the ones I've seen fire tiny little bolts at relatively low speed.

With a power stroke as short as a pistol crossbow, it would need something like a 500lb draw weight. (that would be no fun to draw back)
Arrow spine might also be a bit of an issue. You would probably need one an arrow made of solid tungsten bar stock.
Probably not going to find such an animal out there.
