Does anyone here have experience with the original Barnes .375 bullets in a 375 JDJ contender? I am looking to improve accuracy. Best I can get is about 1-1/2" at 100 yards. I am using 48 grains of IMR-4064 or H-4895 (finally found at gun show). I have shot less than 1" groups in the past with Lehigh bullets (expensive) and hornady 220 grain (not available) in the past.

Try the Hornady 270's if you can find some. I've also had good luck with the IMR-4350.

Gary,
I tried the hornady 225 and 270. The accuracy is there but the bullets do not expand in water nor wet paper. I have tried the 260 nosler partition as well. It didn't expand either. I will try IMR-4350 if I can find it. The Barnes bullet is only lead bullet that expands.

My water test is a 55 gallon drum filled with water covered with a rubber floor mat.
